Crocs sandals started in 2002 by three Americans based in Boulder, Colorado, Lyndon "Duke" Hanson, Scott Seamans, and George Boedecker.
The original shoe, Crocs Beach was intended as a boating/outdoor shoe because of its slip-resistant, non-marking sole. Croc shoes have since gone on expand their product line becoming universally accepted as an all purpose shoe for comfort and fashion, selling in their millions around the globe.
